Coming Home
Our new exhibit features Sonoma County pastel painter Bert Kaplan.
A country boy at heart, Bert moved from the big-city energy of Brooklyn to enjoy Western Montana. But on his first visit to Sonoma County, he knew he was "coming home" to stay.
His work reflects that sense of place and the excitement of his personal journey into the arts. Surrounded by over 1500 pastels in his Graton studio, Bert creates images that celebrate his love of the backroads and stunning beauty of our region.
While he is featured artist, Bert will donate a portion of his sales to the Pomo Project of Sebastopol, in recognition of the first inhabitants of our beautiful place. Learn more on our page and the project site.
